For the month of August, we will be heading to Detroit, Michigan!

Detroit Style

Detroit style is a thick crust and crisp edges, cut into square slices pizza. The cheese and toppings are cooked directly on the dough with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese on top.

Detroit Style Pizza’s distinctive rectangular shape comes from the pans that it’s cooked in. Originally these pans were repurposed oil drip pans from auto shops!
